If you can’t make it up to New York for the real #NYFW, you can always fake it till you make it in Virginia. Mosaic District is hosting its own Fashion Week parties, and DC residents can get their street style game going at tonight’s kick-off party.

The festivities begin at 6 PM on September 14 at the Angelika Film Center, where DJ Neekola will help create the happy hour vibe at a cocktail party as attendees explore the pop-up shops. A runway show at 7:30 PM will be led by Sarah Faser of Hey Frase!, and it will include looks from Mosaic District boutiques Sophie Blake New York, South Moon Under, Belvello, and Scout & Molly’s Boutique.

The kick-off party will come to a close with an 8:30 PM ticketed showing of Dior and I at the Angelika, the proceeds of which will go to benefit the Junior League of Northern Virginia.

But in the spirit of fashion week, the sartorial celebration can’t be contained to one night. On September 15, Madewell is hosting a launch party with Kicheko Goods, celebrating their new fall collection from 5 to 8 PM. Also on September 15, Undeniable Boutique will throw their annual Fashion’s Night Out party with a heaven and hell theme, so guests are instructed to wear red or white for the event, which will include a deejay and light show.

On September 16, visitors to Sophie Blake New York’s store will be offered bubbly and bites while they shop the jewelry collection, which will be 20 percent off for the evening. Customers at Cherry Blow Dry Bar on September 16 will receive a complimentary scalp massage, and visitors to Undeniable Boutique can shop the Belle Intimates trunk show with a ten percent discount from 2 to 7 PM.

On September 17 through 18, Neiman Marcus Last Call is hosting a fine jewelry trunk show, and on September 18, Bluemercury is giving out free makeovers and a gift with purchase. Scout & Molly’s Boutique is offering discounts all week, and shoppers who spend at least $50 are automatically entered to win a $1,000 shopping spree.

The Fashion Week fun kicks off tonight. For more info on participating vendors and events, visit the Mosaic District website.
