The weekend before classes were set to start up again for Daisy’s junior and Bryce’s senior year of college, a first meeting turned into hours sitting outside on campus chatting about everything from international relations to Star Wars. Two weeks later, the pair started dating, but Bryce knew from that very first night that he’d met the girl he wanted to marry.

Four and a half years later, Bryce and Daisy visited her family in California, where Bryce secured their blessing. Two weeks later, while with Bryce’s family for the holidays, Bryce handed Daisy a gift. Inside, she found a card that instructed her to stand, at which Bryce got down on one knee, and said two words: “Marry me.”

For their Virginia wedding, the pair planned an elegant day filled with personal details, including charms that Daisy carried in her bouquet that featured the photographs of family members who had passed away and a table filled with photos of their parents’ and grandparents’ weddings. Following their outdoor ceremony, guests had a chance to snap Polaroid photos of the evening for the guest book.

A doughnut bar sweetened the reception, in addition to Daisy and Bryce’s silhouette-topped cake. When the festivities finally came to a close, the newlyweds departed with plans to honeymoon in Switzerland and Croatia.
