3 Stars Brewing Company is celebrating five years on Saturday with a craft-beer-filled bash from 1 to 7 PM. There will be a beer pavilion featuring local breweries, plus whiskey from Copper Dog and cider and mead from Slim Pickens. The chefs from Chiko will be roasting a full pig, and you can also sample bivalves from Rappahannock Oyster Co., frozen treats from Ice Cream Jubilee, and beef jerky from Jerkface. The $20 ticket includes admission, a custom glass, and your first beer.
Perfect for both beer and wine lovers, the 6th annual Kegs and Corks Festival at Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds this Saturday brings together 16 wineries and 16 craft breweries. The $45 ticket includes unlimited drink samples, a souvenir glass, access to a photo booth and karaoke dance party, and event parking. Also available for additional purchase: food and more wine/beer. The festival goes from 1 to 7 PM, but if you purchase a ticket online in advance ($40), you can enter at noon for an extra hour of sampling.
Nothing says summer like an all-you-can-eat crab feast. Head to Sixth Engine on Saturday for a family-style meal of endless steamed crabs from Capital Crab Company, hushpuppies, corn on the cob, and roasted potatoes. Bonus: the wine and beer are unlimited, too. Purchase tickets ($55 per person) for two seatings (5:30 PM or 8 PM), and you’re encouraged to stick around after your meal to take full advantage of the bar offerings.
The latest iteration of Town Hall‘s Summer Cookout Series is here this Saturday. Head to the restaurant’s back patio for a lobster bake, complete with steamers from The Salt Line, corn, potato salad, and linguiça sausage. The $50 ticket (use code “Washingtonian” for 20% off) includes one lobster and as much of the side dishes as you’d like—plus free beer and wine. There will be giveaways, too, like tickets to a Nats game, gift cards, T-shirts, and Town Hall koozies. The first seating is from 5 to 7 PM, and the second from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Mike Isabella’s new Spanish restaurant Arroz, head over on Sunday for a special sangria brunch beginning at 12:30 PM. The afternoon includes a sangria-making demonstration from beverage director Taha Ismail, and guests can stick around after for a three-course family-style brunch featuring a burnt eggplant flatbread, patatas bravas, and grilled serrano ham and manchego sandwiches—plus, lots of red and white sangria. The ticket costs $75 for members of the DC Food & Beverage Collective, and $85 for non-members.

Eat luxe for less this Monday, August 14th. It’s National Filet Mignon Day, and all Morton’s locations in the DC area are celebrating with $1 filet mignon sandwiches available from opening until 10 PM at the bar.
Café du Parc at the Willard InterContinental is hosting a special dinner this Wednesday, August 16th at 6 PM, pairing each of five courses with a wine from Napa Valley’s Grgich Hills Estate. The $105 ticket includes a meet-and-greet with chef Peter Laufer, plus all food and drink. Highlights from the menu include deviled quail eggs paired with 2013 Grgich Hills Fume Blanc; and lamb osso bucco with corn and mushroom ragout, paired with 2012 Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon.
