Bride Wears Tiara on Her Wedding Day, Looks Like a Real-Life Princess

Bintu Kanu, a registered nurse, met Olumide Ojehomon, a human resources manager, when they both attended the same college in Baltimore. For their wedding, not only did Bintu don a stunning floor-length lace gown, she went all out with a sparkly tiara worthy of royalty. Check out her winning look in the images by S67 Studios by Omojesu below.

When Bintu was an undergraduate student living in Baltimore, she used to see a handsome guy in the hallways of her apartment building. She remembers thinking he was always pleasant.

Then one day, as they were both walking out of the building and heading to campus, the boy took the initiative to introduce himself as her neighbor, Olumide. Though Bintu was friendly, Olumide just assumed she was being a polite neighbor. But despite his suspicion, the (then-broke) college student invited her to a budget dinner date at Ruby Tuesdays. Sparks flew.

Four years later, Olumide and Bintu were in Miami on vacation, when Olumide proposed while they were out at Bintu’s favorite restaurant, Prime 112. They had a two-year engagement before tying the knot at the Church of the Holy City, followed by a reception at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel.

Bintu chose fiery coral floor-length gowns for her bridesmaids, which had an eye-popping effect. The bridal party also carried bright bouquets of tightly arranged peonies and English garden roses in orange, yellow, white and bright pink. The bride stood out in a fluted floor-length gown by designer Madison James, worn with a elbow-length veil and a charming princess tiara.

The ceremony afterwards was held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel, and was decked out with glamourous details. Crystal centerpieces bursting with orange and pink florals stood tall next to gold-and-red table settings. Especially impressive was a floral arch over the couple’s sweetheart table, where Bintu and Olumide toasted throughout the evening.
