As you probably can guess, we have a soft spot for Hurricane Irene weddings. So we were delighted to see Emily and Dave’s rustic wedding, shot by Egomedia Photography (see photo above). The couple took the messy weather in stride, even though half of their guests couldn’t make it—you can tell that they just wanted to get married, no matter what the weather gods had to say about it.

The bride in this Somerset, Virginia, affair describes her backyard wedding as “Old Europe meets the South.” We couldn’t have described it better ourselves. Such gorgeous weddings coming out the Charlottesville area these days.

The Something Navy blog is one of our recently-discovered favorites. It focuses on military weddings, and you know how we love a groom in uniform. This week, they posted some cute engagement photos, taken at the Marine Barracks—what a unique site for a photo shoot!

There’s something about a vineyard wedding, and this one at the Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland, is no exception. We love how the couple effortlessly combines vintage romance with a rustic-chic vibe. So well done.
