How they met: Through mutual friends at Virginia Tech. Favorite restaurant: Momo's Sushi Cafe in Old Town Alexandria. How they got engaged: Jeremy surprised Martine by proposing on HIS birthday! Wedding cocktail: Blueberry mojitos. Wedding flowers: White hydrangea, spray roses, and freesia. Favorite wedding detail: The fireworks from across the river at the end of the night. Wedding dessert: Cupcakes. Biggest surprise of the wedding: That there were lots of tears of joy. It also went by very quickly. First dance: "You are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. Wedding theme: Red, white, and blue Americana. Four words that describe the wedding: Love, lobster, family, and friends. Honeymoon spot: Cruised the Mediterranean—Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Where they currently live: Old Town Alexandria.
