Get Ready to Blow Your Whole Paycheck At Ulta’s Huge New Pentagon Row Store

Arlington residents with an eye towards beauty are in for some serious retail therapy this coming year. The country’s largest beauty retailer, Ulta is setting up a 10,000 square foot shop in Pentagon Row, giving beauty fans direct access to cult brands such as Urban Decay, Nars, Mac, and more. Area residents will be able to pick up their tried-and-true cosmetics, discover new brands, and take care of hair and beauty maintenance done all under one roof.

The store is set to open its doors sometime in the spring of 2018—between the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2018 three other storefronts, Basic Burger, Aabee Restaurant, and Club Pilates are also set to open in the Pentagon Row development.

The Pentagon Row Ulta will take over spaces that used to house Vitamin Shoppe and Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, near the Harris Teeter and Bed Bath and Beyond. The shop, which will feature the Ulta’s familiar orange-and-white palette, will stock everything a beauty blogger needs to blow a paycheck on, from fragrances to skin and hair care to makeup and cosmetics—ranging from drugstore brands to high-end designers. This location will also feature salon services like brow waxing, facials, and hair styling.

Despite the bleary retail market for brick-and-mortar stores, Ulta continues to flourish with the recent reboot of its loyalty rewards program, the launch of a mobile app “glam lab” that allows customers to play with makeup virtually before they purchase, and the expansion of salon service offerings.
