Maybe you’re newly engaged from a hometown holiday proposal, or maybe you’ve been planning your wedding for months. In either case, you’re living in a wedding vortex, and you know just how overwhelming it can be. But there’s a very simple way to put your wedding planning on the fast track: Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled on January 31.

What is it?

Well, my friends, Unveiled is an annual event during which Washingtonian Bride & Groom gathers all of our favorite recommended vendors into a ballroom at a gorgeous downtown hotel. The brilliant wedding minds from around town put together an eye-popping display of tablescapes, cakes, dresses, floral arrangements, invitations, and more, and you, lucky you, get to come wander the wedding wonderland and hand-pick the experts who are going to make your big day amazing.

Can’t I just find my vendors on Google?

Oh, sure, you can find photos and information about these talented wedding vendors on our website. But will you do it with a glass of Champagne in one hand, wedding cake in the other, while listening to a live wedding band and chatting with a room full of captive wedding experts? I didn’t think so.

What else can I do at Unveiled that I can’t do on the Internet?

Sample bites from multiple caterers at once, touch and feel luxurious invitation suites, meet photographers one-on-one to see if you want to spend your wedding day with them, and win prizes. The kinds of prizes that will save you money on your wedding: last year we gave away $1,000 towards a wedding dress, a free tent rental, and a dessert bar. Boom.

That sounds kind of nice.

Did we mention the runway show? How you’ll get to feel very Anna Wintour for an afternoon as you preview the gorgeous gown designs of Amsale, Anna Maier, Modern Trousseau, Lela Rose, and Lihi Hod? Yes, it will be very “kind of nice.”

Okay, well when and where is it?

The super-chic W Hotel, 515 15th Street, NW. We’ll see you there on January 31, from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
