Kristina was dressed up like a biker chick when her friends set her up to meet Jonnie at their Halloween party. Though it was a set-up, Kristina couldn’t help but be intrigued by the tall vampire who was apparently better at applying eyeliner than she was. They agreed to meet for a first date, and Jonnie, who had found out from Kristina’s friend that she’d studied abroad in Spain, took Kristina for tapas at La Tasca.liz-fogarty-pink-purple-wedding-44pink-purple-wedding-liz-fogarty-17 1-25-16-dreamy-pastel-maryland-vineyard-wedding-lizfogarty-8liz-fogarty-pink-purple-wedding1-25-16-dreamy-pastel-maryland-vineyard-wedding-lizfogarty-91-25-16-dreamy-pastel-maryland-vineyard-wedding-lizfogarty-11liz-fogarty-pink-purple-wedding-45After dating for four years, Kristina was quite disappointed when a romantic getaway to Napa didn’t end with a ring. But Jonnie had other plans: After they returned from their trip, he set up a surprise proposal at of the stops on Kristina’s 30th birthday Virginia vineyard tour. So it was at Hillsborough Vinyard, with 20 of her closest friends watching, that Jonnie got down on one knee to ask Kristina the question she’d been waiting for.pink-purple-wedding-liz-fogart-56liz-fogarty-pink-purple-pastel-weddingliz-fogarty-purple-pink-wedding-21For their June wedding, Kristina and Jonnie returned to a vineyard, planning their big day at Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery. Kristina involved friends and family by consulting her aunt on decor and enlisting her cousin to act as the florist. Though rain clouds covered their setting for most of the day, the sun finally came out, providing the happy couple with good weather to match their good humor.pink-purple-wedding-liz-fogarty 1-25-16-dreamy-pastel-maryland-vineyard-wedding-lizfogarty-18

Lavender and pink florals and bridesmaid dresses gave a bright and airy feel to their celebration, which was set against the stunning backdrop of the Virginia countryside. Guest played corn hole on a custom game set, switched to flip flops when they filled the dance floor, and at the end of the night, went home with personalized beer koozies. After a day of celebrating with loved ones, the bride and groom departed to honeymoon in the Greek islands.
