July 19: Hitched Sample Sale

Join the ladies at Hitched Bridal Couture for a Sample Sale Soiree from 5 to 8 PM. The event will feature couture wedding gowns from designers including Anna Maier, Amsale, Judd Waddell, and Lela Rose marked down 40 to 80 percent. Although no appointment is necessary, interested brides should RSVP to info@hitchedsalon.com. Visit the Hitched website for a peek at the gowns available for purchase.

July 19: Carine’s Bridal Atelier Sample Sale

Head to Carine’s Bridal Atelier in Georgetown for the annual summer sample sale from 5 to 8 PM. The sale will feature couture gowns from designers including Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Carolina Herrera, and Monique Lhuillier at 50 to 75 percent off. No appointment is necessary to attend. July 20 and 21: The Bridal Salon at Saks Jandel Sample Sale

Visit the luxurious Bridal Salon at Saks Jandel in Chevy Chase to take advantage of its summer sample sale, featuring gowns from top designers including Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Reem Acra, and Peter Langner, originally priced from $690 to $13,890, marked down 30 to 75 percent. The sale runs on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Appointments are recommended; call 301-652-2250.

July 22: Richmond Elegance in Bridal Show

Held at the Centerstage Theater Richmond (600 E. Grace St., Richmond, VA), this event includes an “upscale fashion show,” free bridal magazines, cake samples, and prizes. The bridal show goes from 1 to 4 PM and costs $10 online or $12 at the door. Register online.

July 23 to 28: Early Bird Beauty Week at Modern Bridal Studio

Modern Bridal Studio is running a promotion that will appeal to brides who like to plan ahead. During the week of July 23 through 28, brides getting married in 2013 who book a trial hair and makeup appointment with Modern Bridal Studio will only pay $50. July 26: “I’m Engaged! Now Where Do I Start?” Webinar

This free webinar for newly engaged couples in DC, Maryland, and Virginia will be hosted by Pavaune Pearson, the owner and lead planner of Invited, at 8 PM. Topics covered will include picking a date, setting a budget, and making the planning process fun. Only 20 couples will be admitted. July 27 to 29: Paloma Bianca Trunk Show at Love Couture Bridal

August 5: Baltimore Bridal Showcase

Maryland brides, check out the Baltimore Bridal Showcase at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. The event includes fashion shows, music, tastings, and demonstrations, plus expert advice from area wedding professionals. The first 500 brides to attend will receive a one-year subscription to Brides Magazine. Tickets cost $10. Register online or purchase at the door. Kids 12 and under are free (but no strollers allowed).
