Jenny Lee, a California-based designer, is bringing her dresses to Carine’s Bridal Atelier (1726 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-965-4696) for a trunk show. The bridal gowns are from her fall 2010 collection and are usually not available at the store. If you decide to buy one during the show, you’ll receive a 10-percent discount. Crate and Barrel is hosting its free Wedding Parties events today and Sunday, February, 28. The store is closed to the public, and participants can consult with store advisors and designers and enjoy food and drink. Stores at the Annapolis and Montgomery malls, Towson Town Center, Arlington, McLean, and DC’s Spring Valley are participating both days from 9 to 11 AM. Call the store to RSVP, which is required. Brides will put their veils together this weekend for a scavenger hunt, sponsored by Exquisite Gems Events. Brides-to-be and a guest will be paired with another twosome to hunt down items and photographs from top wedding vendors in Washington. The first team to find everything gets a full planning wedding package from Exquisite Gems Events. Registration is $30 per team, and proceeds go to a local women’s shelter. Noon to 6. Find out how at the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase, which so ecofriendly that there are no paper tickets, posters, or programs. Exhibitors include Bario-Neal, which makes rings and jewelry with reclaimed precious metals and ethically sourced stones; Local Color Flowers, which uses flowers cultivated by local growers; and Main Event Caterers, a carbon-neutral, wind-powered catering company that provides free-range and organic meat, sustainable seafood, and vegan and vegetarian catering. The event will be held at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at University of Maryland in College Park from 1 to 5. Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 until February 19. For more details, click here.
