The Hillwood Museum in Northwest DC is hosting a “Nuit de la Mode” from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., which will feature a fashion show of three up-and-coming designers, including local bridal designer Elizabeth St. John. You’ll also be able to tour the current “Wedding Belles” exhibit, which features the four wedding gowns of Hillwood founder Marjorie Merriweather Post and her family members from the late 19th and early 20th-centuries. Are you stressing over etiquette drama? Check out this Wedding Etiquette Tea featuring Anna Post, great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post and author of Wedding Etiquette: The Definitive Guide to Your Wedding Experience. Letterpress fans, get psyched! Stationery designer Suann Song of Simplesong Design and the new stationery boutique Fifteen Eleven is offering a letterpress class at her Alexandria studio from 10:30 a.m. to noon. You’ll learn the basics of letterpress printing, and get some hands-on experience—printing 20 notecards! Getting ready to register? Crate & Barrel is hosting a Wedding Parties event from 9 to 11 AM at their Spring Valley, Bethesda, Arlington, and Tysons Corner stores, where you and your significant other can enjoy food and entertainment while getting expert advice on registering.
