Where to Find Snow Day Food and Drink Specials Around DC

"Work from home" at these restaurants and bars serving snow day deals.

A snow day on the second day of spring? We’ll take it! We’ll update this post throughout the day, so keep checking back.

The Blaguard (Adams Morgan): Doors open early at noon, and happy hour runs extra-long from 5 to 10 PM. Deals on PBR tall-boys and a shot of rye ($6) all night.

Solly’s Tavern (U Street) will host a Sloppy Mama’s BBQ fish fry today in the snow. Come by starting at 3 PM for beer-battered Pacific cod, fries, and slaw–all for $15.

All area Luke’s Lobster locations will be open today, and you’ll get a free clam chowder when you order a shrimp, crab, or lobster roll (prices vary).

Rare Steakhouse and Tavern (Downtown) is open until 11 PM today, and snow day adventurers can get a bloody Mary paired with a Miller High Life Pony and Wisconsin-style fried cheese curds all for $12.

The Red Derby (Petworth) will open at 3 PM today and happy hour will go from 3 PM to 8 PM.

EatBar (Barracks Row) aims to warm you up with a $10 Stout + Shot special. Today’s combo is Funky Buddha Maple Bacon stout paired with 100 proof whiskey.

Hill Country (Downtown) will have an all-day happy hour. The barbecue spot offers $2 cream ales from Genessee Brewery and fried chicken for lunch.

Swing by The Royal (Ledroit Park) starting at 3 PM for happy hour.

Bluejacket Brewery (Navy Yard) is enacting its Code Blue menu, which luckily for you includes: half-price casks, $4 Bluejacket classics, $7 Rittenhouse hot apple cider and $8 tater tot pie.

Enjoy half-price wine tastings and happy hour all day at District Winery (Navy Yard).

Kyirisan (Shaw) is extending happy hour at the bar to the cook nook until 7 PM. Need extra incentive to stay? The Chinese-French restaurant is offering a complimentary choice of creme fraiche wings, fried okra or pork belly bao buns for every table in the dining room all night.

Ocean Prime (Downtown) will have an all-day happy hour.

Bastille (Alexandria) has postponed its Fabulous at 50 dinner this evening and rescheduled it to next Wednesday, March 29. The restaurant will be open today and will be offering all-day happy hour until closing.

It’s extended happy hour at B Side (Fairfax) from 4 p.m. until close today. Also, check out their pours of big-bottled beers like Tsjeeses ($6) and Harvey’s Christmas Ale ($5).

If you forgot to go to the grocery store, head to Rustico (Arlington) for half-off all pizzas and wings, plus fish and chips for $14. They’ll also have an all-day happy hour, too.

There’s no shortage of drink specials at both City Tap locations (Penn Quarter and Dupont), with $5 drafts and $6 wine. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be $7 cocktails made with cookie dough-infused vodka.

At Dirty Habit (Penn Quarter), stock up on guinea hen dumplings (made with duck Tasso, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms) for $9 both today and tomorrow.

Have an upscale snow day at The Ritz-Carlton (Georgetown). The living room will have a fire going, and you can get hot chocolate all day. From 5 to 10 PM, check out its extended happy hour, with $5 beer, $7 wine, and $10 Hot Toddys (plus live music!).

Drink beer and eat snacks at ChurchKey (14th Street) – its “Tasters & Tots” special gets you two small plates and an order of tater tots for $10.

Stop by Firefly (Dupont Circle) today for an all-day happy hour.

If you want sushi today, check out Zentan (14th Street). You can get $5 hand rolls, plus $5 sake.

Yum – it’s $3 draft beer and $3 tacos today at all TaKorean locations (U Street, Navy Yard, Metro Center, Union Market).

Indulge in an all-day happy hour from noon until 7 PM at Bourbon (Adams Morgan). Warm up with $8 hot toddies, half-price whiskey pours, and a variety of food specials.

Swiss spot Stable (H Street) will be open at 2 PM with a hot cocktail menu – think mulled wine, schnapps and coffee, and chocolate liquor with whipped cream. It will have a limited food menu with options like cheese fondue, too.

It’s the perfect combo at Cork Wine Bar (14th Street) – an all-day happy hour plus $1 cookies.

Eat tacos, drink $1 hot chocolate, and partake in an all-day happy hour at all Taco Bamba (Falls Church, Vienna, and Springfield) locations.

Warm up at Eno Wine Bar (Georgetown) with its $5 mulled wine, served all evening.

Joselito (Capitol Hill) will have $6 snacks and drinks all day and 20 percent off the entire menu at the bar.

Hit the 70s-style basement arcade bar Players Club (Logan Circle) starting at 2 PM for $2 off beers, ciders, and wines and $3 off well drinks until 7 PM. 
Brighton (Wharf) will offer $2 off wines and $5 off well drinks until 7 PM.
Take advantage of a BOGO special at Lou’s City Bar (Columbia Heights): Buy one draft or drink and get the second one free until 7 PM.
Tico will offer a Snow Day Fiesta with an all-day happy hour, along with $7 tacos.
